What if I need something fast?
If you're in a hurry, please reach out to me BEFORE ordering to see what my workload looks like and when I'd be able to ship your order. Please note that even if I rush your order, I cannot control USPS so I cannot guarantee arrival by a specific date. Please plan ahead if you need an item by a certain date.
What is the processing time?
All orders are processed within 2-5 business days (Monday–Friday). Handmade items such as stitch markers are assembled to order within this same window. You'll receive an email notification as soon as your order ships.
What should I know about shipping?
I use USPS for shipping. I highly recommend signing up for notifications at USPS.com once you receive your tracking number so you can follow your package's progress. Please note that once a package is handed over to USPS, ownership transfers to the buyer and I am not responsible for carrier delays, lost packages, or mis-delivery due to incorrect shipping information entered at checkout.
What should I do if my package is marked as delivered but I don't see it?
First, contact your local post office and ask for the GPS coordinates of your package — you'll need your tracking number. A few things may have happened:
- The package was scanned as delivered early and may still arrive within 1-3 days.
- It may have been left at a neighbor's house or collected by someone in your household. Check with everyone at home, and consider using the Nextdoor app to reach neighbors quickly. With the GPS coordinates, the post office can pinpoint where the package was left and correct the delivery.
What if my item arrives damaged?
I take care to pack orders securely, but if something arrives damaged please contact me within 7 days of delivery via the contact form with your order number and a photo of the damage. I'll work with you to make it right.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Due to the handmade nature of many of my products, I do not accept returns or exchanges unless an item arrives damaged or there is an error on my part. If you have a concern about your order, please reach out and I'll do my best to help.
Can I combine shipping on multiple items?
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on the combined weight of your order, so multiple items are automatically shipped together whenever possible.
Are your stitch markers suitable for crochet as well as knitting?
It depends on the attachment type. Lobster clasps and round clasps work for both knitters and crocheters. Ring-style markers (open or closed rings) are generally for knitters only. Each listing notes which attachment types are suitable for each craft.
Do you sell on other platforms?
Yes! You can also find Karen's Hobby Room on Etsy and eBay. However, shopping directly here means you're getting the full catalog in one place.
