FAQ

What if I need something fast?

If you’re in a hurry, please reach out to me BEFORE ordering to see what my workload looks like and when I’d be able to ship out your product(s).  Please note that even if I do rush your order, I cannot control the USPS so I cannot guarantee your products will arrive by any specific date.  Please plan ahead if you need a special item by a certain date.

What is the Processing Time?

Most of the products at Karen’s Hobby Room (KHR) are either assembled or gathered by me personally.  I generally work in the order that they came in so it might be a few days before I get to your order.  I currently have a processing time of approximately 3-7 BUSINESS days which is Monday-Friday excluding any federal holidays.

What should I know about shipping?

I use the USPS for shipping 99% of orders. For a while now and especially during the holiday season, their processing and shipping times have been very erratic.  I highly suggest that when you receive your tracking number, that you sign up for notifications at USPS.com so you can follow your package’s progress.

What should I do if my package is marked as delivered but I don't see it?

First thing you’ll want to do is contact your local post office and ask for the GPS coordinates of your package, please note that you will need your USPS tracking number when you call.

Generally, one of a few things have happened:

  1. The post office scanned your package as delivered but it hasn’t actually been delivered yet.  In these cases, sometimes the package will show up 1-3 days later.
  2. The mail person dropped off your package at the wrong house or someone in the household collected it and put it somewhere.  Check with everyone at your house just to make sure they didn’t bring it in and put it somewhere unexpected, this happens more often than not.  Check with your “safe” neighbors to see if it was dropped off at the wrong house.  The Nextdoor.com app is a good way to touch base with many of your neighbors at once.  Finally, with the gps coordinates, the post office should be able to pinpoint where they actually left the package and if they left it in the wrong mailbox or on the wrong doorstep, they should go collect it and deliver it to you as expected.
