Returns & Exchanges

Your satisfaction is very important to me, so please contact me within 48 hours of receipt of your item if you are not satisfied with your purchase so we can resolve the problem.

Send me a message first before returning anything!

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately with pictures of the contents AND packaging if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. I will either offer a refund or an exchange depending on the situation. I will provide and email a new shipping label to you to return the item(s).

Returns and Exchanges
For any returns or exchanges that were of no fault of mine, there will be a 10% restocking fee PLUS original cost of shipping subtracted from the refund when the package has been returned and received. To be eligible for a full refund, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. It is also the customer's responsibility to pay for return shipping.

If you would like to exchange the item you received for another product in my store, the fastest way to get what you want is to make a separate purchase for the new item, and return the item you have. When I receive the original item back, I'll credit your account minus the restocking fee and original cost of shipping.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Start a Return
To start a return, you can contact us at karen@karenshobbyroom.com. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the address provided.

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

In short, if you need to return or exchange anything from your order:

  1. Send me an email describing the issue and include any pictures of both outside packaging and product.
  2. Package everything including the product(s) back in the bags and box securely to ensure their safe return.
  3. Seal the box and if I sent a return label, print and securely attach to the outside of the bag or box.  If this is a return or exchange, take the box to the post office and pay and affix the label with the return address information I provided.
  4. Send it on its way.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
